Welcome to my blog Interior Canvas!

As an avid admirer of the interior design trade, I am always pouring over magazines and coffee table books — eager to learn the latest tips, tricks and secrets from the experts in this field. I’m intrigued by functionality, logic, history, and the rules that apply to the many layers that make up what we call Home.

Interior Canvas is unlike any other blog you have read before. It will bring the most thorough and original interior design knowledge to you, the reader, by sourcing, interviewing and featuring the experts in the field. Substance, not just pretty pictures, will arrive in every post. The goal is to showcase a variety of styles, opinions, voices and topics from a primarily local level. Trend setters, seasoned professionals, fresh new faces and everyone in between will be hand-selected by me and presented to you.

And who’s behind this canvas? Here’s a little more about me:

I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating Cum Laude from The University of Georgia, I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where I quickly built a successful career in residential real estate. In 2007, I moved back to Nashville to raise a family with my husband and continue selling real estate, while also joining a successful local estate sales company. My true love and appreciation has always been with interior design, and in 2011-the concept for Interior Canvas was born. In addition to Interior Canvas, I have contributed articles for Southern Living’s Daily South Blog and the Southern Coterie (a Southern social networking site). Currently, I am a home decor contributor for the popular website, Bourbon and Boots. I live with my husband, three little girls, my chocolate lab, George, and my little rescue puppy – Piper.

I hope you will join me and come along for the ride!
