Interior Canvas had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing acclaimed national and international designer, Brian J. McCarthy, earlier this year at the Nashville Antiques and Garden Show. This week, as we worked on this article, we reread our interview we’d had with him HERE, and were surprised to see that the very picture that we had chosen to headline that published interview (back in January) was in fact the same picture chosen to be on the cover of Brian’s new book, Luminous Interiors! We can see why! In addition to this room being a showstopper, this particular image sums up so much about our perception of Brian and his interior design work. It showcases his extreme attention to detail, his fusion of contemporary pieces mixed with traditional, his blended palettes with pops of color interspersed, and his brilliant use and love for art.  Luminous Interiors features nine hand-selected residences that Brian recently worked on within the last six years. Each project so extremely different from the others, but all carrying the common thread of a having used this designer, who carefully listened to his clients’ needs and created their ideas into reality.  Take a look at some of the beautiful rooms this 256 page book features:

If you love these pictures as much as we do, then you’ll love the rest of Luminous Interiors. CLICK HERE to purchase the book directly, or find at your local bookstore.
